Stables. A view from the Water Mill

Artist Ojaras Mašidlauskas. 2014.

Painting from the exhibition "From Trakai Voke to Lentvaris".

A series of watercolour works reflecting the life of the manor houses of Trakai Voke and Lentvaris, surrounded by architectural heritage. Each work has its own true place and depicts unique memories in the artist's memory. Most of the objects depicted do not even exist anymore. The lightness of the watercolours and the abundance of details encourage one to pause and experience the situations depicted.

The artist, who was not indifferent to the Trakų Vokė Manor and Lentvaris Manor, seemed to be trying to remind people of what they were like, what life was like around them, and in this way, he wanted to show people that the objects can be full of life and action again.
