One of the most interesting structures is the massive water tower, whose exact date of construction is unknown, but is thought to date from the mid-19th century. The building has a utilitarian architecture and is divided into three bays by cornices. Deep semicircular arches extend through the two lower segments, with recessed windows and doors. However, the upper section, decorated with Gothic arcatures and pinnacles, is in keeping with the architectural elements of both the old and the post-reconstruction palaces. On one side of the building, a staircase extension of almost the same height, with rounded forms, adjoins the building. The tower structure is interesting not only for its architectural configuration, but also as part of the history of engineering heritage.
